eMatrix (Sublative Rejuvenation)


Sublative Rejuvenation is a new and unique treatment modality that goes beyond current methods in skin rejuvenation. It is a non-laser and non-light−based treatment that utilizes a fractionated bi-polar radio frequency to penetrate through the skin allowing more energy beneath the surface of the skin to really maximize collagen production while keeping the top layer of the skin intact. Post treatment, new collagen and new healthy skin cells are produced. Mild to moderate wrinkles, superficial skin discolorations and skin lesions are reduced and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.

Sublative Rejuvenation provides wrinkle reduction as well as overall textural improvement, tightening and luminosity for all skin types. In addition Sublative Rejuvenation is also clinically effective for scar revision and treating superficial skin lesions such as acne scars. By bypassing the epidermis and delivering the energy at a deeper level, the problems associated with pigmentation are reduced to a minimum.

Each patient’s treatment protocol will vary based on individual needs and results desired. Most patients will receive three treatments, each spaced four to six weeks apart. Patients will begin to see results after the first treatment and results will continue to improve up to one year post treatment. During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation. After treatment a pink or red “sunburn” appearance and feeling is also common.

Skin with a genetic likelihood of hyper pigmentation is always at risk with laser treatments because lasers, even with all the cooling mechanisms at hand, affect the upper layers of skin. This often means post-treatment hyper pigmentation as the top layers of the skin are also impacted by the laser. And while it is temporary, hyper pigmentation is always an undesirable side effect. The eMatrix™ Sublative Rejuvenation treatment provides a way to reduce the risk of post treatment hyper pigmentation to a mere fraction of the risks posed by laser because the RF energy is not absorbed by the pigment-producing cells.
